Principle of operation of a tester of brake fluid

Brake fluids are liquids synthesis incompressible, capable of withstanding large variations in temperature without changes in their characteristics. They have, however, the peculiarity of absorbing the moisture from the air and their water content, creating a risk of corrosion of the brake system and lower the boiling temperature, reducing greatly the performance of the brake.
Therefore, it is recommended to change the brake fluid at least every 2 years in the framework of a normal use of the car or the motorcycle, and more frequently during heavy use. In fact, it is the water content of the brake fluid which determines its replacement and the testers of liquid brake measure perfectly this aspect.
